A native of Johnston, in Edgefield County, SC, Bill Yonce served in the United States Air Force from 1957 to 1961 under assignment to the Special Services Division of the Air Training Command, where he won the Air Force World Wide Talent Contest in 1959, completing two years of Air Force shows nationwide and in the Caribbean. Colonel Yonce graduated from Reppert School of Auctioneering in 1961 and from Missouri School of Auctioneering in 1974. He is a charter member of the South Carolina Auctioneers Commission, having served continuously from January, 1977 until January, 1990, including three terms as Chairman of the Commission. He has served on the Board of Directors of The National Auctioneers Association, former President & Chairman of the Board of the Auction Marketing Institute, conducted real estate auction events in South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia, Kentucky, Michigan, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Tennessee, New Jersey, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Louisiana, California & Pennsylvania, nationally recognized as an Instructor of Real Estate, working for the National Auctioneers Association, The Auction Marketing Institute and serving on the staff of Mendenhall School of Auctioneering in Highpoint, North Carolina for over 20 years.

Bill is a member of the South Carolina Auctioneers Hall of Fame, a former board member & President of the PeeDee Kiwanis Club, member, ley reader & speaker at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Florence, South Carolina, serves on the Speaker’s Bureau for the National Auctioneers Association and The Auction Marketing Institute, a member of the Advisory Board for the Children’s Hospital for McLeod Regional Center, a board member for the PeeDee Speech & Hearing Clinic in Florence, SC. In addition to hundreds of real estate auctions events, he has participated in many, many fund raising auctions and participated in raising over $10,000,000.00 for the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoptions.
